Is it baseball season yet?
So I saw Moneyball this weekend.
“It’s hard not to be romantic about baseball. It’s the kind of thing it’s fun for the fans, sells tickets and hot dogs. It doesn’t mean anything.” - Billy Beane, Moneyball
But it does mean something Billy! It makes people happy and unites some of the most unlikely people with at least one common interest, their love of the sport.
How can someone not love baseball?
- It lasts all summer.
- You have 162 chances to catch one of your favorite team’s games. Also, tickets aren’t through the roof expensive. Especially if you’re a Mets fan, they’re practically giving those away.
- Socks up and eye black.
- Corn dogs and day drinking.
Some may complain that “It’s too long.” Really? That’s your problem with baseball? Grab an ice cold beer, soda or water and relax.

I love love love me some football. Not much can beat a Sunday brunch followed by a good day of games in the winter.
And yes, just like every other American household, I wish the season was more than 16 games. But this is the card we’ve been dealt with my friends. Congrats to the NY Giants on an amazing game last night. I’m really looking forward a rematch of Super Bowl XLII. If the Jets can’t properly put Brady (or any team for that matter) in his place than I’m hoping the other NY team can. They’ve already beat the Pats earlier this season, fingers crossed.
Speaking of repeats, who do we talk to about reuniting Super Bowl XXXV’s halftime show?

Here’s a looksie at my new glasses from Coastal. Your first pair is free so I figured, why not? I was long overdue for some new frames anyway.
The last time I got a pair of glasses may or may not have been in 8th grade. I kinda like ‘em.
Derek Cardigan 7003 in Green Tortoiseshell - I tend to underestimate how big my head is sometimes (literally and figuratively) so I was concerned they’d be too big for my face. And they kinda are, but in that not obnoxiously so sort of way. I particularly like the multiplication and division signs on the sides of the frame. You know since I’m Asian and good at math.
